Klaus C. Merz
Prior to founding Merz Financial AG, Mr. Merz was Global Head of Export & Structured Trade Finance at Credit Suisse leading a global business line with exposure to emerging markets. He worked for many years as a senior international commercial banker on the lending side at the banks KfW, Bayerische Landesbank and Dresdner Bank and spent seven years at ABB Structured Finance with the task to arrange project finance for ABB’s international projects.
Herbert Wight
Mr. Wight was the Head of the Swiss Export Risk Guarantee (SERV), the official export credit agency (ECA) from Switzerland, for many years promoting Swiss exports to mainly emerging markets. Before that, he had various positions with UBS and Zurcher Kantonalbank in the international commercial banking business for altogether 25 years.
Nurlan Nogaibekov
Master of Economics with 22 years of working experience. Started career in private sector, as a sales manager. Later took an active part in the process of organizing business lending under the EBRD program in Temirbank JSC. As the head of the largest branch of ATFBank JSC in Almaty (3 years), he supported the change of business processes, from the local to international banking standards (ATFBank-UniCredit Group). At the same time, he was a member of the Board of Directors of ATF-Leasing. Then he was engaged in business development in the positions of Deputy CEO or Managing Director of JSC "Metrocombank/Fortebank", JSC "Bank Kassa Nova" (in parallel, he was a member of the Credit Committee of JSC "Nova-Leasing"), JSC" Tengri Bank", JSC"Capital Bank Kazakhstan". In the second half of 2020, he took an active part in the creation of a new leasing company "Merz Leasing LTD".
Berkutzhan Tattibekov
Over 17 years' experience in the financial sector. He has extensive work experience in banking, lending, and risk management. He worked in such banks as Bank TuranAlem JSC (BTA Bank), ATFBank JSC (during the period of the bank's entry into UniCredit Group), ForteBank, Nur Bank, Bank Kassa Nova JSC, as well as in the leasing company Forte Leasing JSC. In these organizations, he was a member of the credit committee, developed risk management, and was also responsible for the implementation of established plans. In the second half of 2020, he took an active part in the establishment of Merz Leasing LTD.
